While standing by the Shettar work today, I couldn't help but listen to all the different reactions to her beautiful installation, Just a Bit More. Children's interpretations were generally "butterfly nets" and "spiderwebs," whereas adults reactions were more "ouu's" and "ahh's" and breathtaking gasps. Nevertheless, their reactions put a smile on my face and I am sure they would have pleased Ranjani Shettar as well.

This makes me think of string theory, parallel universes, and how they might interconnect. What does all of reality look like at a distance from the outside?

I couldn't help but be amazed by this stunning work, if not for its pure visual appeal than for its encapsulation of spirituality. Though Shettar used the simplest and most organic materials, she has created a piece which transcends the mundane and more cluttered aspects of daily life and instead serenely sweeps above all human action. She seems to be suggesting a sort of universal spirit, much like Jung's collective unconscious, which connects the entire world in one fell swoop. It is in this universality that this piece's power lies, for no matter how religious or spiritual you may be, you can't help but feel drawn in and connected to Shettar's world.

This was one of my favorite pieces. This was so cool looking! It must have taken a lot of time. I wish I could make this.

Excellent use of space, original and extremely intricate. The pure visual appeal was enough to make me come back to the piece several times, as well as recommend others make sure they see it. Craft along with original materials/methods made this work stand out.

Looking at this piece of art i was full of all sorts of emotions.
It has given me a new outlook on art. It showed that anything is possible as
long as you believe in it. I believe that took a massive amount of talent. I was
very impressed.

This might be the best piece of art I have ever seen in my life. It's color is so cool and when you stare at it it looks like a spiderweb. It looks like the cosmos.

I liked this piece of art really. I found it really interesting to look at and observe. I looked at a million different pieces of art and this was by far my favorite.

This piece was absolutely intriguing! The strings/beeswax looked so delicate.
I just wish I could have crawled under it rather than ponder it from afar!

I am so impressed and dying to view these works of transendental beauty! Please email a list of showings, hopefully on the west coast, so I can be enlightened!
